Samsung will officially unveil the next-generation flagship phones, the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ in two weeks. The specs of these two phones were seen during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and we know almost exactly what to expect. The official presentation is just a one step closer for these two phones to go on sale and we are pretty excited about that and Samsung will hold a press conference about Galaxy S8 on March 29th.
However, there is one rivalry phone that people are talking about, and it is the new Apple iPhone 8 which will arrive in fall this year. Apple should officially announce this phone in September, and even though it is not confirmed, there have been numerous leaks on which we can base on our predictions. Several sources such as KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and The Wall Street Journal reporters have provided some information about the new iPhone 8, which is expected to be completely redesigned. It should come together with the updated iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus.
According to the rumors, the iPhone 8 will be equipped with a 5.8-inch OLED display, while the size of the upcoming smartphone is expected to be the same as the size of the ongoing iPhone 7, which is 4.7 inches. There will be no home button, while the ID fingerprint scanner will be a part of the display, which will cover most of the phone’s front end. There have been a few graphics designers who have tried to visualize the look of the new iPhone 8, but the closest one might come from the design student called Arthur Reis.
His concept depicts the new smartphone in the so-called glass sandwich which is rumored. Glass will replace the aluminum housing you can find on the current series of iPhones, and it will be positioned at the front and back, while the connection between the two is going to be a stainless steel mid-frame. The shape of the new device will be identical to the current one, but the edges of the OLED screen are expected to curve down slightly.
