Instead of the aluminum backing, Apple will finally introduce a stainless steel frame with dual panes of reinforced glass, says DigiTimes. The new chassis will increase the strength of the product and allegedly reduce the price. The company has filed a design patent which is a display with holes in it that supports Augmented Reality apps, but we are not sure whether the Apple iPhone 8 will feature this. According to some other rumors, the new device will be equipped with a bezel-less design with curved edges, which means a bigger size of the screen.
The iPhone 8 will supposedly come with iris-scanning technology and IP68-certified water resistance. This means that you can put the device into the 1.5-meter-deep water for half an hour without damaging it.
Pricing Details
Embrace yourselves because this is where it gets interesting. According to FastCompany, the new iPhone 8 will be priced at over $1,000. Even though this is a substantial amount of money, To remind the readers, the iPhone 7 Plus starts at $969, but the Galaxy S7 Edge is about $800.
