Apple iPhone 8 will be introduced this fall, and 2017 is an important year because this device will celebrate its 10th birthday once it comes out. Steve Jobs was the one who unveiled the very first Apple smartphone back in January 2007 and considering that this year is the phone’s anniversary, we might see something special.
The Apple iPhone 8, which according to some rumors may also be called the iPhone X might feature a dual-curved OLED display, all-glass design, enhanced dual cameras, while it will lack a physical Home Button. The phone will be presented in September and the company’s CEO Tim Cook is trying to minimize the growing hype.
At the Apple’s quarterly earnings call, Mr. Cook talked about company’s product roadmap for the next year. He declared: “I think the smartphone is still in the early innings of the game. I think there’s lots more to do. Every year, I think it becomes more important to people’s lives, there’s more things people are doing with it.”
Even though Apple is being quiet about the new iPhone 8, a new concept has appeared on the Internet, and the fans can see how the new device is going to look. These images are a courtesy of Gabor Balogh, and if this is what Apple has in mind, Samsung Galaxy S8 should watch out!
The display is expected to cover the entire front end of the phone, allowing owners to position their apps in a way they want. Plus, the augmented reality idea exists. With the use of Siri and a camera, Apple iPhone 8 could help you find out more about your surroundings. For example, according to the Gabor’s renders, if you point out the camera towards a landmark and ask: “Hey Siri, what’s that tower?”, you will get the answer.
However, Gabor insists that these are just the photos and the new iPhone could look completely different. Meanwhile, all the rumors suggest a curved display and a home button embedded under the screen, which means that Gabor is probably accurate when it comes to the phone’s design.
There is no doubt that the new Apple iPhone 8 will be great, but several sources claim that the starting price for the entry-level device will be $1,000. With this price, the iPhone 8 will be the most expensive one to date, and many people might opt for the Galaxy S8 just because it is significantly cheaper.
