Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has introduced a new version of OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite Beta Seed with key areas unchanged from the initial version launched in last week. The new version is issued to developers for testing.
The details
The second version build is named as 14B23. The initial maintenance Beta seed was released two weeks after the latest Mac OS was launched in mid-October. The focus in the first version as well as in the second version of OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite Beta remains on Wi-Fi. After the first dubbed build 14B17 had been released, Apple asked its developers to focus more on Wi-Fi. The other features highlighted in the new version are Notification Center and exchange accounts in Mail.
The issues
In the previous launched Yosemite versions, users were not happy with the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity features. They constantly faced connectivity problems since upgrading to Yosemite. Also, the users experienced problems with the first-party Apple app in the mail section and other services including Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Gmail and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Exchange. All these issues were necessary to be fixed in the new Yosemite version.
The solution
Considering the problems faced by the users in the initial Yosemite versions, Apple asked its developers to focus on the areas including exchange accounts in Mail, Wi-Fi connectivity and Notification Centers. All the tasks are carried over from the first version of OS X 10.10.1 beta. The maintenance update was considered as a main reason behind all the problems.
The testing process
As of now, Apple has given the second version to the developers for the testing process. It will hope to see all the issues solved in the second version. The second Yosemite version can be accessed through Apple’s developer portal. Developers can even opt for Software update section to access OS X 10.10.1 beta seed.
