Just hours before the much awaited Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) event kicks off; a Chinese leaker claims to get hold of the iPhone 6. The event will start at 10:00 a.m. Pacific (1:00 p.m. Eastern). The tipster named Rui Kee (username “zzray”) on the Chinese social networking site Weibo claims to know details of all the features of the iPhone 6.
iPhone 6 Compared with benchmarks
What’s interesting is that it is the same user, who posted the videos and photos of a functioning iPhone 6 a few days back. Rui Kee claims to have tested the device to gauge the efficiency of the device. The Weibo user has also snapped several pictures from the alleged iPhone 6 to rate the camera quality, and also compared the performance of the device against Geekbench benchmarks.
Benchmarks, first spotted by GforGames, claimed A8 processor in the device, scoring 1,633 for single-core performance and 2920 for multi-core performance. Based on the scores, we can get the idea that the iPhone 6 could be 20% more powerful than the iPhone 5S, and would be more powerful than HTC One M8.
Apple iPhone 6: 1GB RAM, two cores processor
According to Rui Kee, the 64-bit A8 processor will be equipped with two cores while the most advanced Android phones boast four or eight cores. Similar to the earlier version, the next-gen iPhone would have 1GB RAM accompanied by a marginally better clock speed of 1.4GHz. The Chinese user expect the US firm to enhance the RAM of the device, but more RAM use more battery. RAM hardly has been an issue with Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), as the company has been able to give better performance with lower RAM.
Kee noted that the 4.7-inch version will have a resolution of 1334×750. Also, the iPhone 6 will sport 8-megapixel camera, and more features will be added to enhance the performance. The front camera would be 1.3-megapixel unit (1280 x 960). Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) device will have storage options up to 128GB, and will run on the latest iOS 8. The device will weigh around 129 grams.
