Everybody expected a pretty boring main event of the Survivor Series as WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, and then WWE Champion were set to face off against each other. Jinder is just not credible enough to face a guy like Brock Lesnar. It’s not believable that a wrestler like him has any chance of beating the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. Well, WWE probably realized this too, and they changed their plans on the go.
AJ Styles challenged Jinder for the WWE Championship during the last edition of Smackdown Live. The match was quite decent, probably the best one that Jinder has wrestled since becoming the champion. All of his shenanigans didn’t work that time, and AJ Styles walked away with the championship.
All of a sudden, this champion vs. champion main event got interesting, and we have a Wrestlemania-worthy duel on our hands next Sunday. AJ vs. Brock Lesnar is something that the fans actually want to see. Styles is more than capable of taking down Lesnar with his wrestling ability which is something that makes him a credible opponent. Lesnar is a beast, but Styles is a great WWE superstar in his own right. Here is what he had to say about his upcoming match against Lesnar.
“Now I am the WWE Champion once again, and now I have the opportunity, at Survivor Series, to face Brock Lesnar. I know what you’re thinking, ‘AJ you can’t beat him! He’s a beast! He’s a giant!’ Well, you know there was this one guy, who had a slingshot and a stone. And I have a ring that I’m going to slingshot myself into victory when I take it to Brock Lesnar. And that’s how the story will end.”
