2#2 Jeff Heath, SS
Jeff is the player who managed to destroy a streak that one of the Chiefs players had. The streak is clean throws without any interceptions this season, and it belonged to the Chiefs signal caller Alex Smith. This was Smith’s first game against Dallas and their safety Jeff Heath, and it immediately meant losing the best streaks going in the entire NFL.
Heath was introduced as a filling in at kicker after Dan Bailey suffered a groin injury. Heath’s tasks were extra points and kickoffs, and luckily he wasn’t all that bad – going 2-of-3 on the extra point tries. He definitely shined in Sunday’s game against Chiefs when he jumped a route intended for tight end Travis Kelce, came away with the pick, and get this – it was his first of the year. Up until then, he was basically the weak link of their revamped secondary, but Week 9 brought him glory. He is also that kind of player that plays big when it’s actually needed. Do you remember last season and the Green Bay Packers game? Then you know the Heath intercepted Aaron Rodgers twice in the playoffs, although the second interception was called back on a penalty by corner Anthony Brown.
