The Undisputed Era is a good faction in the NXT. There is no doubt that Triple H made a good decision by booking him as a leader of this team as he doesn’t have the size that these other big stars do so he can’t match them 1v1. But, as a mastermind of the faction like an Undisputed Era, there is no doubt that he can thrive.
His match with Aleister Black at NXT Takeover Philly was amazing. These two guys put on a show during this Extreme Rules battle. It was a breakout performance for Adam Cole who is going to be in the title picture in the NXT sooner or later. That is coming for him no doubt.
But, that was not all that we have seen from him this weekend. He even made it into the Royal Rumble match. WWE sold his injuries from the night before as he made his Royal Rumble debut all taped up. That was also a good move by the WWE.
It seems that him being in the Rumble wasn’t an original plan for him. In fact, according to the reports, they wanted him to be the one to answer Bobby Roode’s United States Championship open challenge, but they decided that they are going to pass on that idea so they put Mojo Rawley into the match.
It is better to save Roode vs Adam Cole for later when the leader of Undisputed Era makes his main roster debut. The match was on the pre-show so not a lot of people would have watched it. Cole is worth more than that and he is going to prove that before he makes it to the SD Live or Monday Night Raw.
