Known for his role in political thriller film directed by James McTeigue and written by The Wachowski Brothers V for Vendetta, Eddie Marsan has just become the part of the Deadpool 2 crew. The actor himself broke the news about his joining the cast on Twitter.
Marsan posted a photo of his children and Ryan Reynolds in his costume (see below) with the following description: “The kids visited me at work on Deadpool 2. Ryan made them feel so special. I’m officially the coolest Dad in the world.” Thus, it’s clear that he is now confirmed as a member of the great Deadpool crew. However, we still don’t know what role Marsan will play in the upcoming sequel.
In addition to V for Vendetta, Eddie Marsan also made an appearance in the action-thriller Atomic Blonde, which was released last month and directed by David Leitch, too, just like the highly-anticipated sequel. He is also known for several other movies, including Hancock, Ray Donovan, The Illusionist, as well as 2009’s Sherlock Holmes. We should not forget to mention Show White and the Huntsman, Mission Impossible II, and Merlin. All in all, he has made quite a few memorable performances, so there is no doubt his role in Deadpool 2 will be just another success.
The rest of the cast includes Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Zazie Beetz as Domino, T.J. Miller as Weasel, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Josh Brolin as Cable, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. Stefan Kapicic will voice Colossus. It has been recently revealed that Julian Dennison will also show up, but his role is still kept under wraps. Finally, we’ll get to see Jack Kesy as a villain, still not confirmed which one exactly, but the rumors suggest it will be Black Tom Cassidy.
Deadpool 2 will see the light of day on June 1, 2018.
