There is no doubt that the Dallas Cowboys are disappointed because of the fact that NFL came down hard on their star running back this past Friday as they decided that he should miss the first six games of the season because of the domestic violence situation that happened last year. The Cowboys will try to appeal this decision by the NFL, but as of right now, the suspension stands and he should be missing a month and a half of the action.
Dallas Cowboys’ head coach Jason Garrett stated that the team needs to stay together and keep working hard. He knows how good and valuable Ezekiel Elliot is, but he also says that the team has two veteran running backs in Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris, guys that have made it in the NFL, had some good moments for other teams and can produce for this team.
When he talked about Elliot, he said that he has done everything right this offseason, that he keeps working hard on improving himself both on and off the field, that he is trying to do everything that he can control and that he is preparing to play as best as he can.
“We prepared our team accordingly by building it the right way and we’re going to focus on what we control with our football team,” said coach Jason Garrett when he talked about the state of his football team. “That’s players and coaches. We’re going to coach as well as we can. We’re going to play as well as we can with the guys that we have available to us.”
