Dwayne Jonson is one of the greatest Hollywood stars who went from being a professional WWE wrestler to an amazing actor. On Friday, The Rock debuted his new updated bull tattoo. He posted the side-by-side photo of his arm – the older and newer versions of the tattoo, and he named it the “Evolution of the Bull.”
His former tattoo represented his WWE nickname The Bahama Bull, and Johnson said that he “got his tattoo when I was just a kid.” His old ink was drastically smaller, and the bull’s expression was aggressive with red-looking eyes. His new tattoo was done by tattoo artist called Nikko Hurtado, and it was completed after three sessions which lasted 22 hours all together.
Johnson wrote that “the story’s almost done” which might mean that he will continue to upgrade it in the future until it covers his entire arm. The 45-year-old actor explained why he had to change this ink: “every detail is a reflection of my own personal history,” adding “Evolution of the bull. Blood, sweat & years.” The new art looks so much fiercer, and we can see the animal’s skull and teeth.
You can clearly see the eyes of an animal and they represent “the life, energy, power.” Johnson wrote that they are the core and anchor of this delicate work and that they symbolize “the mana (spirit).” The star pointed out that the eye “tells the story of a disruptive positive energy always ready to dent the universe.” The cracks along the skull represent “life’s hard lessons I’ve learned over the years.” He added that he “earned” those cracks and he was grateful for them.
Also, the horns are pointing ahead which shows “relentless energy and forward progress.” The animal’s eye could look glaring “depending on the light and angle,” but the bull is “always alone and ready to disrupt the universe and love and protect my family and all things I love with intense passion and gratitude,” he captioned. He ended with “cheers to living, learning, evolving and growing. And to the positive disrupters ready to dent the universe” with the hashtags “#EvolutionOfTheBull #TheDisrupter #TheMana #NowLetsBreakOutTheTequila.”
