BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) will come with some exclusive deals on Black Friday on November 28th. The highlight of the offers is the launch of a limited-edition Red BlackBerry Passport.

As part of its Black Friday deals on the 28, the company will be releasing the Red Passport next week. It has already been preempted by an online leak that the company will be unveiling the red Passport. The company is trying to face the competition with the launch of Red BlackBerry Passport, which has been priced at $599. It has been confirmed now that the device is compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile networks.
CEO John Chen unveiled new products and announced a surprising partnership at the BES 12 event organized last week. The company had tied-up with Samsung for the integration of KNOX with BES 12.
The Canadian company teased two of its products that it will release in the coming weeks, first was the red Passport while the other is the BlackBerry Classic on the 17th of December. BlackBerry Classic will be launched simultaneously in New York, Singapore and Frankfurt on December 17. The QWERTY device is being launched at a time when the touch-phone market has almost saturated and does not have much to offer except for Android apps for starters.
Will Classic find a place among touch-enabled devices?
BlackBerry Classic device comes with mid-range reliable features. The device sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen and a 2GB RAM. It has a rear camera of 8MP and a front camera of 2MP. The device is powered with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor. The device is available at an off-contract starting price of $450, and has already been made available at the official site along with several retailers.
Majority of customers prefer touch-enabled devices, and in such a scenario QWERTY devices are at somewhat disadvantage. Pre-orders for the much awaited Classic are available now, and the device will be available to the fans from December 17. The new BlackBerry devices now come with a notable feature of compatibility with Android apps, which can be downloaded from the Amazon App Store. Though the new BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) releases can run the Android apps, but they are slower than what was expected of them. Classic comes with the latest OS pre-installed.
The company expects that the users will replace their current handsets with the Classic device also known as the BlackBerry Q20. As of now, there is no confirmation over BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) (TSE:BB) Classic Verizon or Sprint, but the device is by default GSM compatible.
