The trucks and crossovers addiction, that has been blown out of proportions lately by markets, doesn’t want to let customers go. As it turns out the customers have grown accustomed to them and as time passes the addiction is spreading and it has transferred to the classic vehicle market. After doing some research and after we found the report made by Hagerty the most wanted classics are the 1945–1968 Dodge Power Wagon and the 1966–1977 Ford Bronco. Hagerty gave these 95 HVR points (Hagerty Vehicle Rating).
According to the same report from Hagerty trucks and SUVs hold 12 of the top 25 spots on the list and the Bronco is extremely popular because three genes of Bronco take several places in the top 25. Besides the Bronco the Jeep, particularly the CJ-7, held a high ranking place on lists like these and a special place in fans hearts but recently it has started to fall. The CJ-7 is currently in 5th place in this list which is a new low since it retained the first two spots for years on different occasions. Hagerty Valuation Information Analyst Jesse Pilarski, gave a short explanation for why is this happening and he said that the CJ-7 is “falling into line” and added that “both insurance activity and quoting activity took a step backward over the last two months”.
Besides these two there are other trucks and SUVs on this list that are worth mentioning and those are the 1973-1987 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup, the 1973-1979 Ford F-Series, the 1960-1966 Chevrolet C/K Series, and the 1969-1972 Chevrolet C/K Blazer. We also must mention that another one of Jeeps models, the CJ-8 Scrambler made it to the 11th place which is a success since the company is preparing a modern day successor in the form of a Wrangler Pickup, that will be here sooner than expected, but more on that later.
