The ratings for the new NFL Madden 18 game are out and we can take a look at how the star players look and where are they placed with their ratings. Today, if we take a look at the Wide Receiver position, we would see that Cowboys’ wideout Dez Bryant is ranked as the 5th best at his position in this year’s edition of the game. Is that rank too high or too low for the Cowboys’ star player?
Well, it can’t be too high. Dez Bryant has done nothing over the past two years that would suggest that his ranking should be higher. Yes, he is very talented and is going to be a crucial weapon for Dak Prescott this upcoming season, but the fact of the matter is that he needs to prove that he can stay healthy, be available each and every week for the coach Jason Garrett and produce star numbers week in and week out. Some would say that the best ability is availability. That for sure holds true for some of the Cowboys, like Jason Witten, but not Dez Bryant.
Just based on the talent alone, he does deserve a high rating. This year, he will be a 91 overall player in the game, which is going to put him behind players like Odell Beckham Jr. with 93 overall, AJ Green with 94 overall, Antonio Brown with 96 overall and Julio Jones with 98 overall. Right now, he ranking looks good. He could have been even a bit lower, but Dez Bryant was rated just right in the Madden 18 game.
