Car fans worldwide rejoice! We have a delicacy prepared for you! The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro, and the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R have appeared side by side!
We recently spotted ‘a leak’ of photos where you can see this fierce trio. Ralph Gilles (FCA head designer) is to be thanked because this picture is a result of his generosity. Gilles is one of the most active social media executives currently, and he used Instagram to share this piece of art with us!
These three beasts have met at the M1 Concourse facility in Pontiac, Michigan. What could that mean for us? Well, we might be in for additional footage where they will be tested out further.
What’s even more interesting about this photo is the fact that these three vehicles aren’t even direct rivals to each other. The 650hp Camaro ZL1 and the 840hp Demon present an apparent ‘mismatch.’ Throwing in the 1LE pack only expands this ‘hp gap’ even more.
The Camaro at hand can lap the Green Hell in 7:16 leaving behind cars such as the Porsche 911 GT3 RS PDK! Therefore we find nothing unusual in this delivering an entirely different experience if we should compare it to the drag strip-addicted Mopar piece of machinery.
When it comes to the Shelby GT500, we can all agree that it would be a more appropriate ‘weapon’ for this clash. If we were to trust the latest reports, the most powerful production ‘Stang’ should run on a supercharged 5.0-liter V8.
The estimated output of the 2019 GT500 is somewhere around 680hp, and we could maybe see Ford Performance take the ‘ultra-pony’ way past the 700hp cap.
Why do we believe in such a possibility? Think about it, the Mustang is lighter, and it doesn’t actually require such an output statistic to beat the Hellcat, but nowadays it seems that horsepower bragging rights are more important to everyone.
Is that really the case today? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments section below.
