Pictures of the unannounced Nokia 8 have been leaked by official Nokia Website! Hours later it was taken down, but it was already too late!
Launch or even announcement of a smartphone nowadays sparks off the huge interest of gadget lovers around the globe. It is still unclear whether Nokia did this one on purpose or not. The company ‘accidentally’ announced the rumored Nokia 8 by sharing a picture with some info about the phone on one of their sites. Shortly after that, they took it down. Of course, numerous Nokia fans took screenshots to save the day.
If you ask us this is legitimate confirmation.
The Finnish tech giant will soon debut its first ever premium Android handset. The name of the device is The Nokia 8. We believe that this could be their way back on the big scene of mobile phone industry. Nokia was once the best phone brand, and there’s no denying it. However by teaming up with Microsoft and avoiding the use of Android OS they slowly dwindled. Windows phones were simply worse than their rivals.
They were acquired by Microsoft and then to HMD Global. HMD Global bought the right to use Nokia’s name. Even though the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 phones were actually pioneers when it comes to using Android OS their mid-range efforts haven’t really struck a chord with customers. And that is nothing strange since its rivals went by the names of Samsung Galaxy S8, iPhone 7 (not an Android but still a fierce rival), LG G6 or Google Pixel.
Recently we received full specs for a device that is supposed to be the Nokia 8. This piece of information was revealed by VentureBeat. According to them, the device may feature top notch components such as dual 13-megapixel cameras and a Snapdragon 835 chipset. We’ll leave the rest for you to see below:

-Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS
-5.3-inch screen
-2,560×1,440-pixel resolution
Considering specs such as these, it was rumored that the price of the device would be somewhere around 590 euros ($675, £520 or AU$865). If this proves to be the truth, the Nokia 8 will be more expensive than its midrange cousins.
According to some other stories, the phone should be launched before July 31. That date is around the corner, and we’ll be sure to pay close attention should anything happen.
Having requested a comment from HMD Global and Nokia, we received no answer.
