When you already have a great looking and powerful vehicle, there are so many great things that you can do with it and make it even better. That is what happened with this 545 hp Ford F-150 Raptor that has been inspired by incredible looking Lockheed F-22 Raptor fighter jet.
According to reports, we can see that Raptor model is selling quite well for Ford and that it has been more than great move for Blue Oval company to introduce a truck like this one. About 10 percent of total sales of F-150 went to Raptor model, and since we know that they managed to ship out more than 400k of units during this year, we come to an impressive figure. This number of sold vehicles just for Raptor version can be compared to a number of total sales for some vehicles.
Let’s get back to the topic of special Raptor that has been inspired by one of the worlds best fighter jets F-22 Raptor. For this fantastic looking vehicle EAA AirVenture Oshkosh has been cooperating with Ford, and the final result is very impressive.
This version will be able to produce 545 from its 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost twin-turbo unit that is helped by Whipple intercooler and few more, probably black magic, stuff under the hood. Anyway, this is more than enough to make you fast both on the road and off-road when you want to attack less driven trails.
We know that Raptor is a quite capable truck when it comes to tackling obstacles off the beaten path and with this one we are getting stuff like lift kit for improved suspension travel. On the exterior, we can notice effort of making it closer to a jet fighter, so we are getting carbon fiber wheel arches, custom grille, light bar, red-silver-black wrap and similar.
There are no details about the price for this Ford F-22 Raptor F-150 truck, but we do know that it will be sold on auction at the EAA Gathering of Eagles at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh. If you like it, you will have a chance to acquire it on July 27th.
