Thanks to a new Deadpool star set to play Cable, Josh Brolin, we have an image that shows a behind-the-scenes transformation of Josh into the mighty Cable. As everyone in the world knows this superhero movie sequel is set for June 1st next year, with Brolin joining the cast alongside returning star Ryan Reynolds, who plays our favorite red hero Deadpool.
The filming of the second installment of this great flick is already underway, and it is natural that we receive more and more behind-the-scene images. This time Josh went on Instagram to share a photo from the set showing him in the make-up chair, receiving his transformation into the time-travelling soldier Cable. He even captioned the image and here is what he wrote “Insanity on the brink. Face is morphing into something machine, fierce, hair sliced, arm machined, bulged. Where is Deadpool?!? Looking. Looking. All I got are these two…molding me, prodding, turning me into something hard.” Check it out!
Reynolds also decided to share a picture, and in his, we see this guy in a full Deadpool costume giving a Hunt For The Wilderpeople actor Julian Dennison a piggyback ride. As you probably know so far, Dennison is set to join the confirmed cast for Deadpool 2, alongside Jack Kesy as villain Black Tom Cassidy, Zazie Beetz, Shitori Kutsuna and Leslie Uggams. Reynolds captioned his image in his fashion of course “Giving Julian Dennison a warm [‘Deadpool’] welcome as we stare off into our beautiful future together.”
WE are grateful for the from the set images we receive, but we would also like something regarding the plot of the sequel. The story is still the only thing that is kept a close secret although we received the first teaser for Deadpool 2 in March and it was titled “No Good Deed.” The teaser showed Deadpool responding to a street robbery in his usual, meta way, while also featuring a cameo from iconic Marvel founder Stan Lee. Deadpool’s Simon Kinberg said a few things regarding the highly anticipated sequel – “I think Deadpool 2 will comment on anything that’s happening in movies today especially in superhero movies. The sort of glut or saturation of these movies and the proliferation of sequels is definitely something we’ll play around with”. Hmmm… Interesting.
