iPhone 6 is the latest smartphone offered by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and the people in Australia are the first ones to have the privilege of getting their hands on this device. Apple had announced the iPhone last week.
Different reasons to buy Apple iPhone
Alphatise is an e-commerce start-up venture and two of its marketing coordinators, Christian Ibrahim and Salvatore Gerace are the ones standing on the front two positions of the queue. Edward Tran and Ellen Caruso are the two lucky Alphatise customers, who have got the opportunity to purchase the first two iPhone bought by Ibrahim and Gerace.
An ardent fan of Apple iPhone was standing on the third position in the queue called Jin Sik Kim, who had been waiting in the line since Sunday. This man was there with five more people. Asamo is an iPhone online community based in Korea, which was represented by Kim, who wanted to be among the first few iPhone 6 buyers, and hence flew to Australia all the way from Korea. Kim has been there among the first buyers in the past, as well. He was there two years back as well, and compared the launch to a major festival for the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone lovers. The launch events really excited them.
Separate queue for pre-ordered iPhone
There were also people who pre-ordered the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone and were standing in a separate line for collecting their devices. The first place in the reservation line was occupied by David Rahimi, who traveled all the way from California to pick it up.
“At midnight California time last Friday, we went online, made our reservations, and made sure we got the phones that we wanted, and now this morning, we’re here. It was for vacation, but we also wanted to be one of the first in the world to get the new iPhones,” he said. The changes brought by Apple such as an enhanced camera and improved speed are also the reason for his delight and a larger screen further adds to the joy.
For Apple fans, who do not like standing in line queues, joined the line over at Telstra for a premium treatment of bean bags, breakfast burritos, and coffee, as well as entertainment from Australian pop group Justice Crew.
