We know that the Dallas Cowboys dominated the NFC East last year as they lost only two games when they played with starters. In the last game of the regular season, they decided to bench their star players for most of the game in order to give them some rest before the postseason, so we really can’t count that game as a true loss to the Dallas Cowboys in 2016.
In the process of going 13-3, this squad dominated on the offensive side of the ball. They ran the ball better than anybody in the division as they had NFL’s leading rusher while also having one of the best quarterbacks when it comes to running the ball. When you combine that with a near-perfect protection that this offensive line has given them, you get something that is not easy to stop.
This year, it seems that the Giants can easily dethrone the Dallas Cowboys when it comes to the best offense in the NFC East. Odell Beckham Jr. is a beast in his own right, but they asked too much of him as their offense was based on whether or not he can make a big play in a game.
But, with the addition of Brandon Marshall, a guy that is a legit number one option on a good team, this Giants offense is going to look scary. When you bring Sterling Shepard to that mix of wideouts, you get something that the defense really can’t stop.
If you put too many guys on one side, you are going to regret it as the other two can easily punish the defense. Man-to-man coverage is going to be of no help as well as these guys are way too talented to all be shut down by one guy that is covering them. Dallas’ weapons list is still good, but this New York Giants’ offense has a chance to be special.
