NFL pretty much has the largest fan base in the United States of America. It is the most popular sport, and the fans just can’t get enough of it. Even though football is not played all around the world like soccer is, there is no doubt about that as there are a lot of fans outside the US that also like to watch the NFL. It is a great team sport, after all, it’s dynamic and fun to watch.
The NBA usually has those global games during the preseason, and they are visiting different parts of the world. They play in Europe against some of the elite European teams, they play in Mexico, South America, Africa and Asia. NBA is pretty big in Asia, so there is a reason for them to go there.
On the other hand, since football is not globally popular as basketball is, there is no reason for them to play in Asia. There are games that are played in London three times a year, but that is about it. There might be one more game in a city like Rio or something like that. Recently, Tom Brady has spoken about wanting to play in China at least once. Here is what he had to say about that.
“My dream is to play a game here in China someday. We had an opportunity, I think 10 years ago, and my team was going to play here, and unfortunately, it didn’t work out. But one day I hope that there are many games here and over the course of a year because it’s such a great sport and because I love it so much, to bring that here and to bring the discipline and incredible strategy involved.”
