One of the dream matches in the WWE for many fans is the one where the unstoppable force that is Brock Lesnar meets the immovable object that is Samoa Joe. At the Great Balls of Fire pay per view, we will get a chance to watch these two battle for the Universal Championship in a match that everybody anticipates. But, the question is: Did the WWE give us this duel earlier than they should have?
This battle looks like the one that should happen at the grandest stage of them all. Right now, on the main roster, there aren’t a lot of matchups that are more intriguing than Joe vs. Brock. These two look as believable beasts, two guys that are a legit threat to everybody in the company. They look the part, they act the part, and they work the part. The legitimacy of these two superstars is what makes this match a must-see TV event.
WWE Hall of Famer and former WWE Champion Edge is one of those people that agree that this match is Wrestlemania worthy. Reigns vs. Lesnar is the match that WWE is probably going to go with for Wrestlemania, but Edge disagrees with that.
“You want my take? Here’s my take, ok, I’m assuming that they wanna go Reigns and Brock at Wrestlemania. I personally would have gone Brock and Joe at Wrestlemania because it’s different, it is fresh, it is believable. You have this 300 pounds Samoan you know, Beast and then The Beast Incarnate. So I don’t know, I think that to me it would have been a fun match to get at Wrestlemania and I think people would have been excited to see that too.”
