One year of waiting and it’s almost here. The seventh season of the popular TV series Game of Thrones is arriving on July, 17 and the fans are more than eager to see what’s going to happen with their favorite characters. All the previous seasons have led up to this moment. The true battle begins, or as some of the characters from the series would say, the winter has arrived.
In the previous seasons, we’ve seen amazing landscapes and sceneries. As the series has to display all four seasons throughout almost each episode, the scenes were taken in many different and remote parts of the planet. The next season is said to offer nothing less than that. Here are some of the most famous locations of where the shots of Game of Thrones were taken.
The Dark Hedges
The northern Westeros scenery was taken by the Irish Sea on the coasts of Northern Ireland, and Dark Hedges were set in County Antrim.
Mussenden Temple
Mussenden Temple is the place of Stannis Baratheon and Melisandre’s whereabouts.

Ballintoy turns into the capital of the Iron Islands.
Dubrovnik
One of the most famous locations in Game of Thrones is King’s Landing, and all the intrigues of Cersei Lannister, her whole family, Margaret and the rest of beloved characters are being filmed in Dubrovnik.

Lokrum is next to Dubrovnik, and it represents Qarth.

Again around Dubrovnik, we have another beautiful place of shooting, and this place serves to be Red Keep palace gardens.

Trogir represents Qarth as well. Its Venetian architecture is a perfect setting for Game of Thrones.

The city of Meereen, or the city of slaves, is actually the city of Split.

The former King’s Landing in the first season of the show.

Three hours away from the capital city of England is the setting of wildlings in season 3.

The place of a famous fight between Brienne and the Hound.
