We will get a chance to watch a great main event at the Extreme Rules pay per view this Sunday as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt are going to battle for a chance to challenge Brock Lesnar for his Universal Championship at the Great Balls of Fire pay per view in July. This is a tough contest to predict. Everybody has a shot to win this match, some are in a better position that the others, but it is truly anybody’s game.
We picked Seth Rollins to win this battle as he has been booked to look pretty strong over the past couple of months. When you combine that with his great in-ring work over the past couple of weeks, you can clearly see that The Architect is the one that can produce the best match against the Beast Incarnate at Great Balls of Fire. It is hard to make the argument for somebody else.
But, Jim Ross, one of the most respected people in the world of wrestling has a bit different opinion than many other fans. He is a professional podcaster, and on the Ross Report, he has talked about this bout and the PPV. Here is who he picked.
“These five will seemingly be counted on to deliver a strong, show closing presentation on Sunday night on the WWE Network during Extreme Rules from Baltimore. As I said on this week’s Ross Report Podcast, I see Finn Balor winning the main event Sunday at Extreme Rues which earns him a title shot with Brock Lesnar. Good luck on that one, Lad.”
The argument for Finn is that he has been involved in a segment with Paul Heyman. The seeds were set for that feud which is something that probably drove JR to pick the Demon King to walk out as the number one contender on Sunday.
