Tesla’s vehicles are well known around the world and fans surely appreciate the work put in behind them. They are no doubt quality cars and over 370,000 pre-orders of Model 3 electric car prove that. Recently we acquired new details about that car thanks to a sales brochure found on the site Inside EVs.
We will leave that brochure (chart) below for you to see. It first appeared on the Tesla Model 3 Owners Club, and it compares the specs of the new vehicle to the current Model S. The brochure is made for companies sales staff to help buyers make a decision whether to buy the former or the latter sedan.
The most important facts from the Model 3 brochure include a 0 to 60 mph time of 5.6 seconds, a total of 14 cubic feet for combined front and rear cargo and a 15-inch center touchscreen as the only display.
Having become a quite popular vehicle, the Model S, it increased the company’s fan base however it comes at a price of $69,500 which narrows the scope of new buyers because of its high price. On top of that, Tesla unveiled their Model X SUV that is offered at an even higher price. On the other hand, the Model 3 is speculated to cost around $35,000 which makes it more affordable and especially when considering the price of electricity compared to gasoline and tax incentives.
We could see some details about the vehicle on the launch event last year, and many of those are featured in the brochure. The list of options includes a single large screen in the center which shows the vehicle speed since there is no gauge cluster right in front of the driver.
When it comes to storage capacity, it is quite similar to any other car of the Model 3’s size class (BMW 3-series).
Another confirmed fact that we saw at the launch and is featured in the brochure is more than 215 miles of range.
However, a peculiar fact found in the publication is that the Model 3 won’t have an aluminum body. That would make its production different from the aluminum bodied Model S and Model X. Maybe the Model 3 will have steel body panels but an aluminum body frame.
