When you see a superstar walk down the ramp, one of the things that you notice first is the theme song that he has chosen. It is a big part of every single wrestler as it gives them character and is a part of who he is as a wrestler. If you have a dominant heel, you need an intimidating song. If you have fun and loving babyface, you need a happy song, like the one that Bayley has.
If you don’t believe us when we say that the theme is pretty important, you just have to take a look at Shinsuke Nakamura and Bobby Roode as they are the guys that got over based on their theme song alone. When the fans heard of Roode’s song, they went crazy right away, and he became a huge star in one night.
Styles has had some good theme songs over the course of his career, and all of those fit him pretty well. This one that he has right now in the WWE is also great as well, but how does he feel about it? Does he like the song that they have given him? Recently, he spoke about it and here is what he said.
“I have to be honest. When I told them what I was looking for, as much as I’m from the Southern part of the United States, but I’m not that much of a country music fan. Do I like it? Sure, but not that much. So, I was like ‘I just want a little bit of that country, but I love rap, so you’re going to have to find a way to go that way with a cool beat’ and they found a way to make it work for me. I don’t know that they made that song specifically for me because I think it was made in NXT, but I think it fit me like a glove.
