The R in the name of the Galaxy Note 7R stands for refurbished, and this phablet is going to arrive soon. The device which has been modified has gone through the FCC certification, and it will be relaunched to the market.
According to Android Authority, the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 will be offered in three variants which carry the codes SM-N935S, SM-N935K, and SM-N935L. These letters at the end of each code point to SK Telecom, KT Freetel and LG Uplus respectively, which means that the Galaxy Note 7R will go on sale in South Korea soon. Latest stories only confirmed the BGR’s previous reports about the three devices coming to carriers in the Samsung’s home country.

The starting price of the modified device will be around 700,000 won ($620) which is cheaper than the original price by $200 approximately. The question here is whether people are going to buy the Note 7R or not after the explosions and problems it had? Probably yes because it was a great phablet except that “small” issue, plus, Samsung cannot allow for the same mistake to happen.
The 2016 phablet flagship created by the South Korean tech giant was a thing of beauty. Even after it was discontinued, many people were interested in purchasing the device, and although the 7R will come with a 3,200 mAh battery, which is smaller than the previous one, it will definitely be a lot safer. Otherwise, the Galaxy Note 7R will be the same, which means a 5.7-inch curved Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 resolution is coming back.
It ran the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Soc with an Adreno 530 GPU and it had 4GB of RAM. Moreover, the Note 7 arrived with an iris scanner, and we are excited that the fixed model is returning with this feature. However, is it smart to relaunch the Note 7R just after the Galaxy S8 and ahead of the upcoming Note 8?
Well, yes, because they will regain some of the money the company lost when they had to discontinue the device. In addition, the refurbished Note 7R will only hit the South Korean market, so it will not affect the sales of the upcoming Note 8. The bad news is that it will not be sold in the US, so if you want a Galaxy Note, wait for the Note 8 to arrive.
