If the team is winning do not change a thing, this seems to be the policy that people over at Chevy love the most. This is seen on the 2019 Silverado which according to latest spy shots we have here is only slightly updated in the interior department, and on the outside, the new thing is a different exhaust setup which can indicate that Chevrolet is testing some new engine options for the 2019 MY.
Up front, you can see the slight updates in the front headlight cluster, which is still looking very similar to the current generation but this time it is a lot more angular. It has also retained its signature light strip and beneath it are what appear to be slightly different grille and bumper as well.
As far as the interior, the slight upgrade we were referring to are mostly regarding the infotainment system that now seems to have a somewhat larger screen, and most interesting of all is the driver’s display which was covered up during the test, and that can only mean that something interesting might be happening there. Just an FYI, the current truck uses analog gauges, so we might be looking up at the revision of those or an entirely new digital cluster.
The overall predictions are that the Silverado will not change that much at least regarding its design and looks. It will be just like with Ford’s F-150, small revision all around but the company will keep that Silverado’s familiarity that their customers like. What is likely is that refreshed model will now feature a lot more aluminum and other materials in its construction in order to save on weight and ultimately to improve the MPG ratios.
This all should greatly help the Silverado boost Chevy sales which have been thinning down lately. Just this year Silverado sales dropped down by 5.8 percent to 168,621 units, but despite all that, it remains the Chevrolet’s best-selling vehicle by far.
