Jinder Mahal has been enjoying a big rise to the top of the card on Smackdown Live as he is the new number one contender for the WWE title. Many people don’t like this decision by the company to move him up the card so quickly while the others like the fact that somebody else is getting a chance to shine, to prove himself and to show everybody what he can do.
Jinder has done some good promos over the past couple of weeks, and that has inclined some of the fans to give him a fair shot that he deserves. Jim Ross, one of the most respected voices in the wrestling world today, has recently shared his thoughts on Jinder Mahal and his rise on the blue brand.
While he doesn’t mind that Jinder Mahal is getting a shot at the WWE title as he has a unique look and a unique set of skills, he does point out that WWE is taking a calculated risk with putting him at the top of one of their brands. If the plan with Jinder backfires, the company really doesn’t lose much with him at the top.
He is also wondering what happens if he becomes the WWE Champion. What is next for Jinder Mahal and how will the fans react to Mahal holding the biggest championship in the company?
The only thing that Ross doesn’t like about Mahal is the fact that he is often yelling with no need during his promos. Ross points out that when somebody is talking too loud, people are not paying that much attention. That is something that Jim thinks that Jinder Mahal should fix. But, all in all, JR is on board with this shot that the company is giving to this guy.
