The Samsung Galaxy S8 was recently launched to the market, and already millions of people all over the world have bought this smartphone. The Galaxy S8 is arguably the best Android phone on the market at the moment, and even the company confirmed that it was the “best ever” launch so far. When it comes to technology, there is always room for improvements, which might come on with the upcoming Galaxy Note 8.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is crucial for the company because it will have to replace the notorious Galaxy Note 7 that had huge problems with catching fire. The South Korean tech giant did everything to prevent explosions from happening, but the people are going to associate the Note name with overheating, and not much can be done about that. A concept designer thought about the design of the Note 8, and this is what it may look like.
A graphic designer Muhsin M. Belaal Auckburaully made this concept video alongside YouTube channel called DBS Designing. They based their rendering on the rumors and Samsung Galaxy S8’s design cues, but this doesn’t mean that the production Note 8 will look anything like this.
The top and bottom bezels have been drastically reduced, which increases the screen to body ratio to more than 83% of the ongoing Galaxy S8. Samsung logo is visible at the bottom, whereas the rendered device comes with a 6.4-inch Quad HD+ display. It sports 6GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal storage.
In addition, there is a microSD card slot and an iris scanner, whereas the phablet gets life from a massive 4,000 mAh battery that cannot be removed. The current S8’s battery is non-removable as well, or in other words, the South Korean tech giant is confident that the Note 8 will be safe. There is no room for another error, and if Note 8 also comes with a flaw, it could be a major hit for Samsung.
You would take pictures via a 16 MP dual camera setup at the back, which is expected ever since Apple introduced its iPhone 7 Plus with this type of snapper. According to Russian tipster Eldar Murtazin, the Galaxy S8 Plus prototype had the dual-camera, but the company decided that the time is not right to put it on the final version of the device, so we are still waiting.
Up front, there is a 13 MP dual front camera and with a Galaxy Note 8 we expect a major advancement in this segment. In a research note, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo confirmed that camera on this gadget would be better than the one on the iPhone 7 Plus.
The designer of the concept we have here decided to put the fingerprint scanner below the camera instead of next to it, but it will remain on the back of the device. This may be irritating for some of the fans, but what can you do about it but adjust? The South Korean company joined forces with Synaptics to develop and install the optical fingerprint tech for the Galaxy S8’s OLED display, but they faced some technical issues, so they gave up the idea, at least for now.
The Note 8 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or perhaps Exynos 8895, two processors which are used for the current Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. According to the company’s mobile chief DJ Koh, the new Galaxy Note 8, which was confirmed earlier this year will be “better, safer and very innovative.”
Rumor has it that the phablet will be introduced at the IFA event in Berlin this September and this is something the IFA executive director Jens Heithecker also said. However, we will have to wait for the official confirmation, but the company definitely doesn’t have to rush with the launch. Before the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung might present a device named Galaxy X with a foldable display, which has been developed by the company after years of work.
