If you are expecting to find a teaser in the credits scene for the next sequel of The Fate of the Furious, well, the producers’ plan apparently wasn’t like that. At first, credits scene was planned, and it had Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) giving away some details that would show up in the next installment of the franchise. So, why was it kicked out?
According to some report, the reason it was taken out was that Vin Diesel had no idea of its existence. But according to some other rumors, it was not the confrontation that made the producers gave up on showing the credits scene. To find out more information on the issue read below, but be wary of the spoilers.
The credits scene was supposed to involve both Hobbs and Shaw, but there are no words on what they would be doing in the scene. When it comes to the movie, they are finding it hard to stand each other upon being placed together in the same jail. After the escape from prison, the two are still compelled to working together, and the audience finds their relationship quite amusing. And from someone behind the camera came this:
“Early screenings where Johnson and Statham popped so much on-screen together that they were looking at doing a spinoff.”
So, if this was what the scene was about, what happened to it eventually?
Apparently, the producer Neal Moritz made the shots for the credits scene without the knowledge of producer and star Vin Diesel, and that has proven to be very wrong because it made him really angry upon finding it out.
The other explanation is that the producers simply decided to leave it out as:
“The sequence would make for a better opportunity somewhere else.”
Neither of the situations is surprising, but the hope is that whatever has happened, will not influence the movie itself.
