The fourth season of NBC thriller series The Blacklist ended and it what the numerous fans of this TV Show are wondering is whether there will be Season 5 and when they can expect it. There hasn’t been any official announcement yet, but we’re hoping to get hold of some new information as soon as possible.
However, the great news is that a spin-off series titled The Blacklist Redemption was ordered by NBC and it might be the conclusion of the crime drama series. Still, it is possible that it has its own plot different from the original story.
In the meantime, the people behind the series can boast of quite favorable television ratings of the last season, since the viewing audience usually decreases from season to season. Namely, the premiere of Season 4 attracted 6.397 million viewers, with a 1.30 demo rating, which is slightly lower than the average score of Season 3 and unfortunately, under the results, we have seen for the premiere of the first season.
As far as the reviews from critics and viewers are concerned, they remain very positive. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Season 4 of The Blacklist has an average score of 4.9 out of 5 and a 100% approval rating based on 15 user ratings. When ti comes to IMDB, it has 8.3 out of 10 mark based on more than 11,600 user votes, 28 reviews from critics and 256 reviews from viewers.
The Blacklist Season 4 debuted on September 26, 2016, and had a brilliant reception from the viewers. Nonetheless, NBC still hasn’t announced the decision on either renewal or cancellation of the crime drama series. If we judge by its great number of fans and positive ratings, Season 5 is to be delivered. Therefore, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for NBC to announce the renewal of this TV Show as soon as possible and looking forward to the sequel of the series.
