Jeep produced a concept called the Wrangler Luminator. The name speaks for itself, and this vehicle is all about illumination as it comes with lots of LED lights that make it visible during the night. What is also worth mentioning is that the solar panel is installed on the roof together with a drone landing pad.
Furthermore, the concept features upgraded parts all the way through, and Jeep didn’t want to stop the process with the addition of LED lights. The 10th anniversary bumper with a Warn winch is located at the front end, flat fenders are there for extra ruggedness, the engine is covered by the heat-reduction hood while this concept sits on Jeep Performance Parts beadlock wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler MT/R mud tires.
The differential covers have also been modified while the bottom end of the concept is painted in the cool bright blue that matches the beadlock rings on the wheels compared to the top end which is finished in gloss black. Extra details that really make the 2017 Jeep Luminator special are a white roof and white body stripes.
The Luminator is all about the lights, and the main headlights are LED projector bi-function units whereas the taillamps are custom designed round ones. It is interesting that the left taillight features an 110-volt power outlet that is hidden behind a door. The A-pillar lights, as well as the fog units, are LED, and there are big driving lights with smaller side siblings incorporated in the front bumper. LED light bar that is hidden along the top of the windshield is installed together with the lamps under the body that illuminate the ground. LED units are even used for the turn signals!
That is not all, since the hood, too, comes with an authentic LED light bar with the night-vision scanner located in the middle and its purpose is to shine if it detects an animal or people walking on the road. The derriere of the vehicle features a concept unit instead of the stop light positioned high in the center. When you are driving, and as you change the speed, the light shines in different colors, so, for example, from one to three mph, amber will be dominant, and as you go over three and drive up to 25 mph, the green light kicks in. When you press the brake, red is turned on.
The powertrain of the Jeep Luminator remains the familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
