If you had been following the Dallas Cowboys in the past couple of days, you know that they are planning to boost their defense in the 2017 NFL draft. Linehan and his offense have been great all year long, posting great numbers and carrying this team all year long. It’s understandable that they want to improve in their weak spots – a pass rush and defending the pass.

Cowboys scouts visited a pro day at Texas A&M trying to look for some guys that have the talent and the skill to play in the NFL. There are a lot of players that already worked out for the squad while there are also guys who are scheduled to meet with the team representatives to talk about the Cowboys possibly drafting them later this month.

When we take a look at the list of names who visited Dallas in the past couple of days and weeks, we can see which positions are the priority in this 2017 NFL draft. Some of the players that visited are projected to go in the first or the second rounds, but there are also some players that are supposed to be late-round draft selections.

It seems that defensive ends are the focus of the Cowboys. Taco Charlton from Michigan is a guy that is projected to be drafted in the first round, and he has visited the Cowboy. Charles Harris from Missouri and Takkarist McKinley from UCLA are also DE’s that visited Dallas, and they are projected to either be off the board after the 1st or 2nd round. T.J. Watt out of Wisconsin is expected to be drafted in 2nd just like Tarell Basham from Ohio.

Few cornerbacks have also come to Arlington, TX in the past couple of days. The most notable name that visited is Cordrea Tankersley from Clemson, a player that is projected to be drafted in the first or second round. Kevin King out of Washington is a potential 2nd round draft pick that spoke to Dallas. They also invited a late-round cornerback prospect Treston Decoud from Oregon State to an interview.
