In one of the matches from the Smackdown Live’s side of the roster, Baron Corbin will challenge Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Title at Wrestlemania 33. This has the potential to be an amazing fight as both of these guys are pretty intense and can deliver a classic. The build for this match has been good at the start of it as the rivalry began all the way back at the Elimination Chamber, but the creative team didn’t finish off the build for this duel strongly.
Dean Ambrose hasn’t been able to do much with his IC title. He hasn’t been featured a lot in the past couple of weeks, and it seems that he needs a change. Ambrose was one of the hottest superstars last summer when the brand split first happened as this guy was the number one overall pick for the blue brand. Now, he has faded.
On the other hand, we have Baron Corbin, a man who seems ready for a big push and is poised for a big performance in 2017. Corbin has been portrayed as a dominant heel on the Smackdown Live. There is no doubt that he could use this win and a small run with the Intercontinental Title.
We think that the company realizes that Corbin can’t lose this match. It is going to be a great showdown between these two as they will push each other to the limit. In the end, we think that Baron Corbin is going to be the one standing tall after this fight is over. Ambrose won’t turn heel at Mania, but his heel turn will eventually happen in the next few weeks.
