Game of Thrones is a series that became popular immediately after a couple of episodes were aired, and now we are entering the seventh season. The exact number of people living in Westeros always fluctuates, but there will be one guy that will increase the population in the upcoming episode. This guy we are talking about is the renowned singer Ed Sheeran, and he will play a cameo role in one episode of the upcoming Game of Thrones season.
Recently at the SXSW Game of Thrones panel discussion, the showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss talked about their efforts to organize their schedule and the schedule of the filming according to Ed Sheeran’s. The reason for this is that he could surprise Maisie Williams who is one of the biggest fans of the singer and who plays the role of boyish Arya Stark. She and Sophie Turner, who portrays Sansa Stark, Arya’s sister, were moderators of the panel.
The members of Coldplay, Mastodon, Of Monsters and Men and Sigur Ros had cameo appearances in some of the earlier seasons of Game of Thrones. We don’t know exactly what the role of Ed Sheeran is going to be or when he is going to appear, but the good thing is that we will see him at some point.
The Season 7 of Game of Thrones will premiere on July 16, 2017, on HBO. So far, the fans have had a chance to see an official teaser trailer that reveals nothing, but it only increases the hype. While you are patiently waiting for the new season to start, you can check out the teaser here.
