As most of you probably know it, and more than eagerly expect it, Samsung is about to release their new flagship smartphone the Galaxy S8, but there is more to that news. Apparently, the S8 will also be in a new variant color. We found out about this after the news about the delay of the release of this model, and with that, another info emerged which is regarding its appearance in Violet Color.
The launch date of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ was set for mid-April by the South Korean Tech company but now is pushed for the end of April. This new delayed launch is essentially because Samsung wants to re-examine their products again and make sure that the Note 7 scenario from last year doesn’t occur once more. From Phandroid and noted tech-enthusiastic Roland Quandt we found out (from his tweet) that the S8 will show up in black, silver and violet color and that the price will be set at €799 for and for S8+ at €899.
Now let’s get back to a new color option – Violet, which may just be the very smart play from Samsung. With Violet color option they are appealing to consumers once again, and moreover, they are appealing to their aesthetic point of view. Samsung is probably trying to revive some of the old customer techniques that they lost over time thanks to the repeated failure of hardware.
As far as we know no other changes have been made to the smartphone itself. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ will boast with QHD+ Super AMOLED display with 4K resolution powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. According to previous reports, the smartphones will be equipped with memory options of 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64 GB built-in storage which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD. According to those previous reports that both phones will also have magnificent optics rated at the 12-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front. The only main difference between these two phones will be the sheer size of screen and phone’s body. Well, there is one more, and that is the price of course.
