AJ Styles has been one of the most successful WWE Superstars ever since he made his debut at the Royal Rumble last year. The fans love his work, and he is cheered everywhere despite being a heel. He has come to the organization from New Japan Pro Wrestling where he was already considered to be the best wrestler in the world.
When he came to WWE, he proved those who thought that about him right. He has been the MVP of the Smackdown Live brand so far, and he is still going strong after a year and two months with the company. He didn’t come to the WWE by himself as he also brought Anderson and Gallows.
When he was asked about whether or not he had something to do with them coming along with him, he did mention that at first the company only wanted and was interested in him, but that they quickly changed their minds and that they were also after Anderson and Gallows.
AJ Styles’ run in the WWE can’t be mentioned without linking him with John Cena, a guy that faced him on a couple of occasions so far and with whom he had some of the best matches in recent memory. When he was asked bout working with Cena, AJ Styles had all the good words for the top man in the WWE.
“When you’ve got a guy who has been in the business just as long as you have, but he’s been in the ring with so many amazing performers in the WWE, and I’m talking about John Cena. You can learn a thing or three from this guy, and a half. It was such a blessing to get in the ring with someone like him; to learn from him, because the WWE is completely different that the independents or this or that place, or Japan. It’s different.”
