The pricing details for the new 2018 Honda City sedan and its trims have been officially revealed by Honda Australia. The new model should hit the market in April this year, and it will be offered in VTi Manual, VTi Automatic and VTi-L trim levels.
The starting price of the 2018 Honda City is $15,990 plus the on-road costs, which means that the price remains unchanged compared to the previous model. The new version will come with some exterior design changes such as a new front grille, modified headlights with LED daytime running lights, while the front bumper is also redesigned.
No matter which trim you opt for, you will receive new alloy wheels whereas the rear bumper has gone through some changes, just like the front one. The interior of the 2018 Honda City has been overhauled as well, and you will be able to find a new 7.0-inch touchscreen, while the engineers added new center fascia, instrument panel, gear shifter and air vents.
The range-topping VTi-L model comes with a satellite navigation and the seats that are wrapped in leather, which is a standard feature. Compared to the last year, the top trim will cost $200 more, but that is an insignificant increase because it contains $2,000 worth of extra equipment that can be found in the cabin, at least according to Honda.
Under the hood, the 2018 Honda City sports a 1.5-liter petrol four-cylinder engine that produces 88 kWh and 145 Nm of torque while the transmission sends power to the front wheels. As we have already said, the starting price of the VTi Manual is $15,990, while for the automatic version you would have to pay $17,990. The top-shelf Honda City will set you back $21,590.
