The 2 Series Coupe and Cabriolet range will receive a facelift and, now, BMW is also ready to upgrade the drop-top version. You had a chance to see the 2 Series Coupe in the spy photos, and finally, the convertible version has been spotted as it undergoes some tests with light camouflage. The prototype of the 2 Series Cabriolet LCI was spied in a city in Germany, and you can see the photos here. Let’s see what the facelifted version will look like.
Luckily, only some parts of the vehicle have been covered, which helps us see the changes on the refreshed model. The front headlights will receive daytime running lights with LED tech, whereas the front grille appears smaller than the one on the current version.
The rear end of the convertible has also been slightly changed, and taillights will get new graphics, but that’s it when it comes to the changes at the rear. Furthermore, when it comes to the interior, the new facelifted BMW 2 Series will com with modified dashboard considering that it has been camouflaged almost entirely.
The German automaker will probably enhance the infotainment system and add some trim elements inside. The buyers will have a choice between several design lines, which is going to determine the color of those details in the cabin. This is also the case with other models within the range.
Moreover, BMW is probably going to further tune the powerplants that are under the hood of the 2 Series Cabriolet, and these upgrades will come together with the facelift. No new units will be added, but there are no specific details about changes and modifications.
Stay tuned for new details.
