Let’s see some of the best vehicles that will debut at this year’s Chicago Auto Show.
Chevrolet Traverse RS and Redline
The Chevrolet Traverse debuted at the Detroit Auto Show, and there has been a lot of reports and rumors about the Traverse RS so we can say for sure that Chevrolet will unveil this model in Chicago. The Traverse now comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine which is specifically designed for this model, and it is only available with FWD. The Traverse RS will have a blacked-out exterior trim, and it looks far better than the regular version. Furthermore, Chevy will present Redline models as well, according to Automotive News.
Dodge Durango SRT
Compared to some other three-row SUV, the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT has always had something that makes this car special. The version that will be presented in the Windy City will be equipped with a 6.4-liter V8 powerplant that produces 475 horsepower. The people who decide to buy this car will get a family vehicle for up to seven passengers that can reach 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds and tow 8,600 pounds. Well done, Dodge!
Ford Expedition and Mustang
Ford overhauled the large 2018 Expedition, and because of some lightweight materials that the company used, there has been a 300-pound weight reduction. This means that the new model will be lighter and good-looking with more power. Eight passengers can enter this massive vehicle, which has the ability to tow a boat or even a camper. Great car for large families. Furthermore, Ford will present the revamped 2018 Mustang in Chicago, but we don’t know whether both coupe and convertible will be on stage or just one of those variants.
Hyundai Elantra GT
There have been so many teasers for the Hyundai Elantra GT, but if you want to see how it looks, just find a photo of the European i30 model. The design of the new 2018 Elantra GT should remain similar to the one employed for the overseas hatchback, but for everything else, we will have to wait for the Show and official presentation. Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon
Jeep wants to send its current-generation Wrangler off, and that is why we will see a brand-new Wrangler Rubicon Recon in Chicago. This model comes with redesigned front axle, while front differentials received heavy-duty cast covers. Jeep created shorter rack rails, which means that the owner can improve their Rubicon Recon by adding 35-inch tires. The standard version comes with 17-inch wheels and 32-inch tires, while the dual-vented hood is offered as an option. In the engine bay of this machine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 unit mated to a six-speed manual transmission, but a five-speed automatic gearbox is available as well.
Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Limited Edition
Mitsubishi Outlander is the best vehicle assembled by this Japanese automaker, and the Limited Edition adds more features without a dramatic price increase. The starting price of this model is only $21,995, and the public will be able to see it standing proudly at Chicago Auto Show. The Limited Edition adds black-finish elements, HID headlights, authentic wheels, better infotainment system and cool interior stitching. Even though it looks nice, the Outlander Sport still has the same 2.0-liter powerplant, which may not be the best choice.
Nissan NV Cargo X, Titan King Cab and Midnight Edition
Nissan will unveil a lot of vehicles at the Chicago Auto Show, and one of them is the NV Cargo X which looks really handsome, and it comes with the turbodiesel V8 unit taken from the Titan XD. The total output of this model is 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft torque, and the van also offers 22 inches of ground clearance. The creator of this van Ian Johnson said: “We asked the NV Cargo X to do work that’s way outside its normal job description, and it rose to every challenge.” Nissan is also expected to show its King Cab, the final Titan version, and Midnight Edition models.
Subaru Legacy
The 2018 Subaru Legacy will also be unveiled at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. It has received a mid-cycle update, which means that we will see a lot of new equipment and some exterior and interior modifications. Subaru added new damper settings and new tune for the electric power steering, but the engine will remain the same. Toyota Tundra, Sequoia
Toyota will present the refreshed 2018 Tundra as a response to the Titan which is already on sale. The Sequoia SUV will finally come with a performance package from the TRD, which means that it will have improved suspension and larger wheels, with expected performance upgrade as well. Besides that, the Japanese company will also show Tundra TRD together with the special edition of the Highlander and RAV4.
