2017 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 starts at $40,995

If you take a look at the Chevy mid-size segment of vehicles, you will find the likes of Tacoma, Canyon, and Ridgeline which are all mid-sized pickups but they are all very different in look and feel which is why they appeal to different types of customers, as it should be. The Colorado is pretty much the only one that is built to be suitable for long-distance travel, and the most expensive one that is available for sale today is the only truck in this segment that offers Multimatic’s industry-leading Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve dampers.

As the automaker intended it to be, it does seem that it is entirely different from Ford’s full-size counterpart. As a standard unit, the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 offers the 3.6 L naturally aspirated V6 that is capable of producing 308 HP and 275 lb-ft of torque which is admirable considering the size and weight of this magnificent truck.

But this all would mean nothing without a few extra features that include – a set of exclusive 17×8 inch aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in 31 inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, somewhat wider front and rear tracks, four-wheel-drive with Off-Road Mode technology, and bumpers especially modified for better off-road clearance. The Chevy will also offer buyers a choice between crew cab and extended cab, as well as a choice between short and long beds. Some of the options that are offered are dealer-installed bed-mounted tire carrier, full-length black vinyl floor, and a 7 speaker Bose premium audio system. Not bad ha?!

Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet Trucks marketing director gave a statement on the topic of 2017 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 saying “ZR2 is truly a segment of one and does everything well — from traversing heavy two-track trails to high-speed desert running and full-on rock crawling.” He also added, “We’re thrilled to be able to offer it for more than $2,500 less than the next closest comparable vehicles.” The exact price at which this pickup starts is $40,995, and get this, it is a price with a $940 destination fee included.
