Borderlands 3 – series of action role-playing first-person shooter video game!
First released in October 2009, “Borderlands” is an action role-playing game (RPG) designed to be played from the first person’s view. When the first entry of the title turned out to be hugely popular, Gearbox Software soon developed the second installment, which was released in December 2012. Then, in January two years ago, it was confirmed that they were working on “Borderlands 3,” but they chose to keep under wraps the exact release date. Unfortunately, not much has changed, as the company still refuses to reveal any specific information (at least we believe so), but we do provide you with certain possibilities regarding further development of the game.
First of all, according to Randy Pitchford, the Gearbox Software CEO, the upcoming entry might not be titled “Borderlands” at all. Although some people find it impossible to imagine any change in the title (except for the entry number, of course), Pitchford suggests anything is possible. He states: “We want to think about the future and we want to think about what the next Borderlands is and we’re going to need some help. The fact is, we’re not working on a new Borderlands game, but we want to (…) We don’t even know if we’re going to call it that. We could call it Borderlands 4 for all we know.”
Furthermore, he explains why they still refuse to reveal more about the project: “What we call it and what it is are things we care about, and we’re engaged about, but it would be irresponsible to share anything at this stage because almost certainly anything we’re thinking now is going to change between now and when we commit ourselves.”
Another speculation is that the third installment will be set on an alien planet. That sounds interesting, don’t you think? According to Metalmass, the gates in Attikus and the Thrall Rebellion which hide a major Easter egg also hide a writing which can be reorganized in a way that forms the word “Promethea,” so some believe this means the following entry will be set on “Promethea.”
Borderlands 3 Release Date
Finally, we have also looked back at the release date patterns of the previous entries, and we have come to the conclusion that “Borderlands 3” might be delivered in September or October 2018. Let’s hope we’re right.
