Dallas Cowboys’ great season ended in disappointing fashion in the NFC Divisional Round game as the Green Bay Packers came to Big D and stole the game from the Cowboys with two clutch field goals and some high-difficulty passes made by Aaron Rodgers. Still, it was a good year for Dallas. We learned that they will be a force to reckon with in the coming seasons. But, how big is their Super Bowl window.
They were led through this campaign by the two rookies in the backfield. Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot are both young with the whole future ahead of them. Quarterback and running back position are set for the Cowboys, and they shouldn’t worry about them in years to come.
The same can be said for this offensive line that has three Pro Bowlers out of the five guys that are blocking for Ezekiel Elliot and protecting Dak Prescott. They are doing a phenomenal job for this Cowboys’ offense. Jerry Jones and Dallas’ front office used a lot of high Draft picks for O-line guys, and their work is paying off.
The Wide Receiving core is decent for the Cowboys, they might add a player or two, but their main guys are ready to produce. Dallas needs to work on its defense and especially defensive line. Cowboys have used a lot of draft picks on o-lineman, so we can expect that they are going to follow the same pattern when it comes to the defensive line.
With all this being said, the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl window is still pretty big. As a matter of fact, Dallas just opened it this season. They are set for the future at the most important positions in football. With a boost to their defense, the Cowboys should be able to compete for a Super Bowl title in at least the next five years.
