Couple Of Cowboys’ Players Underwent Surgery

Dallas Cowboys have hoped that they would be preparing for the Super Bowl at the end of the January. Instead, they are doing the same things that other 29 teams are doing at this point in the year. They are beginning their offseason and are getting ready to make the right moves in coming months. A lot of guys are also trying to recover, and Dallas also has those kinds of players. Two, actually.

DeMarcus Lawrence and Tyrone Crawford had separate, yet successful surgeries, coach Jason Garrett said on Friday, via the Dallas Morning News. Lawrence had a procedure to repair the damage in this back, while Crawford’s was on his shoulder, and neither have a timetable to return. With plenty of time to heal and rehabilitate, this shoulder shouldn’t be a cause for concern for him and the Cowboys going forward.

Offseason procedures are routine in football. Each of the mentioned Dallas Cowboys players is expected to have a good and full recovery and to be ready when training camp starts in July.

Dallas is not one of the best team when it comes to rushing the passer. Their pass rush was one of the worst that NFL had to offer this season. They had talent, but due to injuries and suspensions, they failed to play at the highest level. Jerry Jones and Cowboys’ front office recognize that this is a problem and that they need to address it during the offseason. Nobody on that defensive line stood out this year until David Irving came out of nowhere and dominated right tackles in a couple of final duels of the season. Still, he will need some help, and Dallas needs to do something about their d-line.
