At the Detroit Auto Show, Ford officially announced that the Bronco would make a return in 2024, but many in the media were skeptical about it. However, there is no need for skepticism, because the Bronco is coming back!

The 2020 Ford Bronco will be the real competitor to the Jeep Wrangler, as it will have solid front and rear axle, according to Automotive News. The axle company called Dana will be the one responsible for the production of solid axles for both 2019 Ford Ranger and 2024 Ford Bronco. These new axles will be produced at the facility in Toledo, Ohio. We need to say that this is quite interesting fact because at the same place the axles for the next-gen Jeep Wrangler will be manufactured.

This is no longer a horsepower battle between the two rivals as it is becoming an off-road war. With the independent suspension, the wheels are more independent from one another whereas the solid axles provide a solid connection between two wheels. This type of axle is also called rigid or beam axle, and it provides better vehicle articulation and durability in a high load environment.

However, solid axles offer less comfort during the drive on regular roads, if one wheel runs into an obstacle, it will consequently affect the other wheel. Moreover, cornering ability is also influenced because of the lack of camber angle under body roll. With the new axles, there is no doubt that the 2020 Ford Bronco will be a tough competition to the Jeep Wrangler that has always featured tremendous axles and great off-road capabilities.
