Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) has unveiled Lumia 930 in the Microsoft BUILD conference, in San Francisco. Flagship Lumia 930 is, also, powered by quad-core processor as the one in Lumia 1520. Windows 8.1 version is compatible on this new phone.
Big features at affordable price
Nokia Lumia 930 has 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 32GB of internal storage (7GB free OneDrive cloud storage) and 2GB of RAM. The phone has a display of 5-inch with ClearBlack OLED Display technology, and full HD with 1920×1080 resolutions. The pixel density of the phone is 441ppi. Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) has embedded the phone with Super Sensitive touch, which means that the user could operate the phone even wearing gloves. Also, the Gorilla Glass technology will keep the phone scratch free.
Nokia Lumia 930 is sporting a 20 megapixel PureView camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and ZEISS optics to get pin-sharp shots. However, the front camera is not very powerful with only 1.2 MP, but has HD recording feature. The new phone comes with features such as video recording and four microphones along with directional recording to ensure the lucidity of the sound.
The camera, also, has the single-finger zoom feature to allow users to zoom in without using both their hands. Nokia Lumia 930, also, comes with integrated Dolby Surround Sound. On the battery side, the phone has 2420 mAh battery with built-in wireless charging. It, also, has an LTE quad-band chip and Bluetooth 4.0 LTE for connectivity. Talktime, as per Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK), on 2G connection is 11.5 hours and 15.5 hours on 3G. The phone has aluminium casing and a curved polycarbonate back. The colours available are bright orange, bright green, black and white.
Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) has kept the price of Lumia 930 at $599 before tax, and will be available from June. The phone will be sold in Europe, Asia, India, Middle East and Latin America followed with other world except the United States.
Nokia counting on budget phones
Stephen Elop, CEO of Nokia, who will soon join Microsoft, after the Microsoft-Nokia deal is concluded, unveiled two more phones Lumia 630 and Lumia 635 for the lower end of the market. The company is riding high on the success of affordable Lumia 520, and want to capitalize more on that segment by launching some other phones. Lumia 630 will be priced around $159. The dual SIM version of Lumia 630 will be priced at $169 and Lumia 635 will be priced at $169. The 4G version of Lumia 630 will be priced at $189.
