The Cleveland Cavaliers pulled off a major upset in 2016 NBA Finals as they were down 3-1 and have turned that around with a win in Game 7 on the road. Ever since then, they were pretty vocal and had shown on multiple occasions just how proud they are of that win.
Then, they have beaten the Warriors on a Christmas day as they came back from 14 down in the fourth quarter to beat Golden State on a clutch jumper by Kyrie Irving. There is no doubt about the fact that Golden State Warriors came into this game with a killer mentality.
That showed on the court as they won the game by 35 points against the Cavs. They took the lead early, built on it and never let the Cavaliers get back into the match. The lead just grew from the first minute of the duel to the last one.
It was a collective effort by the Warriors, with five of them scoring in the double figures while three of them scored 20 or more points. Klay Thompson led the way with 26 points, Kevin Durant added 21 and Curry had 20 points and 11 dimes. Draymond Green, a guy that really doesn’t try to hide the fact that he hates everything about the Cleveland Cavaliers, finished the game with a triple-double of 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Now, these two teams are tied at 1-1. They won’t meet again in the regular season, but they are the favorites to get back to the NBA Finals and give us the third series that we all want to see.
