After getting the job done against Miami at Heinz Field, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be traveling to Kansas City to face the second-seeded team in the AFC, the Chiefs. These two squads already met once this season. Steelers were the home team, and they were more than dominant in that game as the final score was 43:14 in favor of the home team.
But, the Chiefs are not the same squad that they were back in October 3rd when they met. For the second straight year, the Kansas City Chiefs are playing their best football in the second half of the regular season. Now, they have more playmakers than they had at the beginning of this campaign, even though they didn’t have Jamaal Charles all season long.
Pittsburgh Steelers had their big three on the field during the Playoffs for the first time last week against the Miami Dolphins. They did what they were supposed to do against this banged up Miami squad. This week, in the Divisional Round, things are getting much tougher for the Steelers.
Chiefs are great at home as Arrowhead is always a tough place to come to and win the game there. Alex Smith has the experience, unlike Matt Moore, a guy that Steelers faced last week. Andy Reid’s defense is full of playmakers, especially on that front four and front seven. KC doesn’t lack offensive playmakers as Tyreke Hill and Travis Kelce have been big time for this team.
This will be a great duel to watch and a tough game to predict. We are entering the final weeks of the season, and the stakes are getting higher. This is AFC NFL Divisional Round, and the match will take place on Sunday, January 15, 1 PM ET at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri.
It’s a tough call, but we are picking the Kansas City Chiefs to win this one. They look like a complete football team that has already been here last season. They want to take that next step this time, and we think they will. Steelers will fight until the end, but their defense will fall short and Chiefs will win this game 30:27.
