The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted the Miami Dolphins at Heinz Field today. This was the first time that Steelers had their big three on the field at the same time in a Playoff contest. This was actually the first postseason game for LeVeon Bell in his career and boy, did he make an impression.
All of the members of the big three have been spectacular today. In the first few minutes, Antonio Brown had three catches for 119 yards and two touchdowns on two huge plays. Big Ben didn’t need to throw the ball a whole lot as he ended the game going 13/18 for 197 yards and two scores but also with two picks.
But, by far the best player on the field today was LeVeon Bell. He started doing a lot of damage in the second quarter and kept pushing that pedal to the metal. Steelers were leading all game long, and Bell was given the ball as that is what you are supposed to do when you have the lead.
Giving the ball to your running back and controlling the clock is what you need to do with the lead and that’s why Bell got the ball 29 times and ran for 167 yards plus two touchdowns in this match. This was a record-setting performance for Bell as he set the record for most yards on the ground by any Steeler in the Playoffs.
Now, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be traveling to Kansas City in one of the most exciting matchups that Divisional Round will have to offer.
